Is my child ready for Kindergarten?

This is a very personal choice for you and your family to make. You know your child best and we are here to support your decision. Some things to keep in mind:

· Will your child be 5 by August 1?

· Does your child separate from you easily?

· Does your child have a lot of anxiety about starting kindergarten?

· Does your child seem immature in comparison to his peers? Does not have self control.

Academic readiness does not always mean a child is ‘Kindergarten ready”, they may need another year to grow socially. Please read the Personal and Academic Skills listed in the following boxes.
